Sony reveals new content and gameplay modes for Days Gone Remastered set to launch on April 25

Sony has updated the Days Gone Remastered page on the PlayStation Store, revealing exciting details about the new content that will be featured in this edition of the game. Set to launch on April 25 for PlayStation 5 and PC, the remaster aims to enhance the gameplay with several new modes and improved graphics.

Among the highlighted new modes is Assalto Orda, which introduces challenging gameplay mechanics that test players' skills as they attempt to set new records while surviving against increasingly large hordes of foes and other threats, including hostile survivors and furious evolved adversaries. Players will need to level up to acquire better equipment and rewards, alongside new playable characters and unique aesthetic modifications.

Other added modes include Speedrun, where players will race through the story as quickly as possible while sharing their best times, and Permanent Death, a high-stakes challenge that requires players to complete the game without dying, starting over should they fall. Additionally, the Improved Photo mode allows for capturing stunning in-game images, thanks to a new lighting system.

The remaster will also take advantage of both the advanced features of PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, including full support for 3D audio, enhancing immersion in the harsh environment of Farewell. The game will utilize the ultra-fast SSD of the PS5, drastically reducing load times and delivering breathtaking graphics with heightened fidelity, improved shadow quality, and support for VRR 2.

Furthermore, the DualSense controller will be fully utilized, providing tactile feedback and adaptive triggers that enable players to feel the resistance of Deacon's arsenal as they face off against hordes. The rumble of the motorcycle's engine and the grip of the tires on the terrain will enhance the overall experience as players navigate the desolate world of Days Gone.

For PC users, the remaster will be available as a DLC for Days Gone, while it will require a new purchase or an upgrade from the PS4 version for PS5 owners. Mark your calendars for this anticipated release on April 25!
