Fire Force announces third season premiere date for April 2025, split into two parts

As the weeks pass, more anime series are being announced for release in the upcoming months of 2025. During the ongoing IGN Fan Fest event, it was surprisingly revealed that the third season of Fire Force now has an official release date—set to premiere on April 4, 2025. However, there is both good and bad news accompanying this exciting announcement for fans of the beloved fire-fighting group. The season will be split into two parts, so viewers will need to exercise a little patience to see the complete story. While we now know when the first part will be released, the second part is slated for January 2026, requiring fans to wait a bit longer.

On the bright side, we will be able to follow the series weekly as new episodes are released in Japan, thanks to Crunchyroll confirming that they will handle the simultaneous streaming. Another detail that has been made public is that the rock band Queen Bee will be responsible for the series' opening theme titled "Tsuyobi."

It's worth noting that it's been quite a while since the last season aired. The first season consisted of 24 episodes, which were aired in two parts between mid and late 2019. A year later, in 2020, the second season followed the same format, with another 24 episodes being released gradually from July to December. Given this history, it's understandable that the decision was made to continue this episodic structure once more, but it's important to highlight that this will be the final season of the series. David Production will once again take charge, with Tatsuma Minamikawa returning as director, while Hideyuki Morioka will reprise his role as the character designer along with Sei Tsuguta as the scriptwriter, for this adaptation whose manga concluded in February 2022.
