Descripción

The beloved anime 'Shin-Chan' ('Crayon Shin-chan'), which has been airing since 1992 and boasts over 1,200 episodes, is not slowing down anytime soon. With numerous spinoffs, specials, and more than 30 movies under its belt, it's now time for Hiroshi Nohara, Shin-chan's father, to take the spotlight in his own series.

This new anime, titled 'Nohara Hiroshi: Hiru Meshi no Ryugi' (translated as "Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch Style"), adapts a manga of the same name by Yoichi Tsukahara, which has been published since 2015 and currently spans 13 volumes. This spinoff will focus on Hiroshi and his work, particularly his lunch breaks and the culinary adventures he embarks on during this time. Discovering new meals is what fuels Hiroshi, keeping him energized for his office duties, and viewers can expect to see him indulge in whatever tasty creations he finds during his lunch hours.

'Nohara Hiroshi: Hiru Meshi no Ryugi' seems set to diverge from the traditional storytelling we associate with 'Shin-Chan', embracing a more gastronomic approach. Additionally, the visual style of this new anime will be distinctly different, aiming to better reflect the manga's aesthetic. The series is scheduled to premiere in October 2025, and a first poster has already been revealed on social media.

The animation will be handled by DLE, the studio behind 'Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san', which had a limited scope, so it will be interesting to see how they adapt to the anime featuring Hiroshi. Tsukasa Nishiyama will direct 'Nohara Hiroshi: Hiru Meshi no Ryugi', with Hayashi Mori on board as the screenwriter.
