Apple pulls iOS 18.4 and watchOS 11.4 beta from some devices

Apple has halted the watchOS 11.4 and iOS 18.4 beta tests for select devices following serious user-reported issues, causing concern among early testers.

Today, Apple has suspended the watchOS 11.4 beta 1 for all Apple Watch Series 6 models, meaning users can no longer test this version. This decision comes after reports from users on Reddit indicating that their Apple Watches were bricked following the installation of the update. One of the users identified as having a Series 6 model, while the other did not specify their model. Consequently, Apple has opted to pull the beta.

In addition to watchOS, Apple has also suspended the beta 1 of iOS 18.4 for some iPhone 12 models, including the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Users have reported experiencing bootloop issues on these specific devices, although it remains unclear why the problem is limited to just these models and not the entire iPhone 12 lineup.

While earlier beta versions introduced a variety of new features, details about the changes in watchOS 11.4 beta are not yet clear. It is worth mentioning that the Series 6 is the oldest Apple Watch model that is compatible with watchOS 11.
