Keanu Reeves has recently clarified that there are currently no plans for a fifth installment in the 'John Wick' franchise. Despite Lionsgate's initial rush to announce 'John Wick 5' shortly after the release of the fourth film, it has become apparent that continuing the series may be challenging given the conclusion of the latest entry. In an interview with Extra TV, Reeves explicitly stated, "The character is dead. He died in 'John Wick 4.' I know what can happen in Hollywood, but right now there’s nothing." This remark leaves little room for doubt about the fate of 'John Wick 5', affirming that it is currently off the table.

The silver lining for fans is that John Wick will still make an appearance in 'Ballerina', set to release on June 6, where Ana de Armas takes center stage. Reeves is promoting 'Visionaries', a docuseries where he collaborates once again with Gard Hollinger, the co-founder of ARCH Motorcycle. Despite his enthusiasm for the franchise, Reeves has shown a realistic outlook, acknowledging that while his heart desires another film, his body is telling him otherwise.

Although the future of 'John Wick' appears uncertain for now, the expansive universe isn't closing down completely. Donnie Yen is actively working on a spin-off focused on his character, Caine, who featured in 'John Wick 4'. So, while John Wick's story may have reached its conclusion, the world surrounding it continues to evolve and grow.
